The first crocus (Crocus purpureus) has poked its head up and there was a pause in the almost constant onslaught of Atlantic dumping (rain, with snow on the hills) on us so I could get a photo!

Also Lungwort (Pulmonaria officinalis). Last year this didn’t flower on the Boggy Brae until the second half of April. The plant’s leaves are still in their winter state, i.e. dead, so I’m not really expecting much more flowering for a while.

And lastly for today, Opposite-leaved Golden-saxifrage (Chrysosplenium oppositifolium). This one is also earlier flowering than last year (or I’ve found it earlier), by about two weeks.
