Everlasting-Sweet-pea (Lathyrus latifolius). I noticed its first shoots in early June; it hasn’t flowered until now. Phillips and Rose say its flowering period is from June to August so my specimen would seem to be at the end of the range. It’ll be interesting to see how long its flowering period lasts.

Devil’s-bit Scabious (Succisa pratensis). According to Keble Martin, this flowers between June and September; Phillips and Rose say June to October. The Boggy Brae plants are clearly among the later flowering especially, perhaps, during this relatively cold summer. I shall watch for its last flower this year.
