Yellow Loosestrife (Lysimachia vulgaris) began to show its flowers at the Boggy Brae on the last day of July. Elsewhere, even quite nearby at sea-level, it has been in full flower for a while. Just shows how much difference even 30 or so metres of altitude can make when combined with a north-easterly aspect. The yellow of Boggy Brae Marsh Marigolds is paler than usual. With Yellow Loosestrife it is the leaves that are paler than usual here.
