I thought this was Ochre Brittlegill (Russula ochroleuca), but people more mycologically knowledgeable than I think it is Yellow Swamp Brittlegill (Russula claroflava) so I’m updating my post. It was growing near sallow and birch and also near the dying cypress tree. Birch leaves have started falling here already.

This is fungus no.47 in the Boggy Brae garden (not just this year but since I started counting).
