Found a new moss today: Bicoloured Bryum (Bryum dichotomum) in a soily crack in concrete. It is Boggy Brae garden moss number 55 since I started learning about them a couple of years ago. It is very, very small.

#boggybrae #garden #wildplant for 2015: 106 (re-using that number because I discovered I’d counted another plant twice). Total so far is still 142.

I think the bit that is bicoloured is the capsule. See this page on bryophytes in the Gower, South Wales. Scroll down a bit for a picture of the capsules.
